I've had some thoughts rolling around in my head lately, none of them really fully finished or very coherent until I had a little chat with a friend.
The gist of the conversation was how some of us grew up with parents who taught us that the nude human body is shameful and that sex is a dirty thing and people should NOT touch themselves in a sexual way. Because it would fall off and you would go to Hell

This came back to me later in life when I learned (I think it was in a Human Sexuality course) that there is no purpose to a clitoris other than sexual pleasure. This was about the same time I moved away from Christianity into Paganism incidentally, which may have also affected my thought process. It made me wonder, if sex is supposed to be 'dirty' and we aren't supposed to derive any pleasure from it, then why would *insert deity or scientific thought process here* make it part of a woman's body?
Fact is, the naked human body, no matter it's shape or form or sex, is a beautiful and wondrous thing. Designed in such a way that pleasure is given and received from something as simple as a whispered (or written) word, a glance, the turn of a head, the touch of a fingertip. Pleasure is one of the things we were designed for and IMHO is as ignorant a thing to deny or be ashamed of as the need to eat.
And a firetruck just went screaming past my house and destroyed my thought process. To be or not to be expounded upon at a later date.
